bigness!!

Ram Koolhass has his point of view that sees the architecture in now a day as junk space because they not respect to the context surrounding, community and local people lifestyle but their just build their own community, be land mark or out-standing and change people habit or lifestyle. Sadly, most of architecture which is “bigness” now a day is 99 percents are “junk space”. From that point make me realize that nowadays people have more stress so design are concern about the esthetic, user will fell relax inside space, convenient but they look past the relationship between architecture, people and environment like before. Finally in future out side will no more important. People will stuck on the building or architecture and no relation with ground and other building then they will realize that what they have done and have question that “is that the civilization?”

This week we learn about post-modern which come after modern but they have opposite vision, most obvious different which can perceive by seeing is “FORM” modernism not work with form to much but focus on source and show EVERY unit but post-modern is though that form are important to perception of people too so they start to work with form and they not show every unit as modern but make like the same surface for show that everything is related to other not end in it self.

Architect & time

Actually in this week I can’t catch the main idea but I gat some idea about modern period. In that time there are many great architecture become famous because this kind of thinking method. Main idea of modern is equality and transparency or clear. The most famous architect in that period is Le Corbusier, Mis Vandero is the idol be inspiration of later generation of architect for many year. But after that, they have some people that have the difference from previous architect. Thinking method has it time. It change to anti-modernism, less is more before is now become very boring. Every thing is change. What I realize from this is every thing has its time to change. Nothing stand to last.

Is it "REAL"???

“You don’t know what is fake, if never see real” this is the word from advertising which I think that related with this week lesson. This week we learn about simulation after this class I just realize that world in present day have many thing which is simulation such as advertising, movies and etc. this kind of simulation is important because people nowadays make the decision by include this simulation to be one of the reason to consider that will buy things or service. It makes me feel like I living in the fake world but standing in the real world

Peter Eisenman interview

Peter isenman is the architect in video they are talking about one of his building. The concept of this building is brake away from uniform, sample, history or hyraces. In this building he make interior more important. This building don’t have main function, purpose is for be people have space to hang out for bring the people mind back to them cause of many thing in present day make people have to concentrated on it when people go in side space they will can feel the tall, wide, color, the eyes see around and feel that have people see to you that is the purpose of this building.

Manufacture landscape in this week they try to present us different from first half which try to show us about how great of the manufacturing in the world, in this week they showing us about what they lift be hide, how they effect to environment, how they effect to local people.

Every factories are absolutely had left huge number of garbage be hide them.
The garbage are effect to environment for sure and they also can change people life style or career if they living in that area.

Normally is painting, nature is a symbol of power but The picture of Edward Burtynsky show the garbage work as the symbol of power instead of nature but in negative meaning.

He is showing us what we do with our world.

Manufacture Landscape

Last week in class in learn about perception, before this I don’t under stand and so confuse about the meaning of it until now, I have my meaning for this word which is perception mean the way people understand something. It not necessary to understand same as other people because different person have different way to think. So perception in architect work is guiding people to understand our work. Most people understand what we want them to know is means that the work is successful in perception.

Other thing is about the movie I se that at first they pan the camera along the factory which so long and no music I think they try to make us to fell like in that place and also show the character of the factory.

I understand that the movie are try to show that the character, type, culture of each factory are create their own landscape. But every factory they left the huge garbage be hide.
